Montreux Jazz Festival
Every summer, the Montreux Jazz Festival brings the Montreux lakeside promenade to life for two weeks. Founded in 1967 by Claude Nobs, René Langel and Géo Voumard, it has become one of the world’s most renowned music festivals, welcoming over 250,000 visitors each year. The festival & the hotel
Important: During the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Royal Plaza Montreux is located at the heart of the festivities. Heavy crowds and significant noise disturbances are to be expected throughout the event, particularly for rooms facing Vernex Park and the lake.
As every year, “El Mundo“, located directly in the gardens of the Royal Plaza Montreux, offers daytime dance classes as well as evening concerts and DJ sets. Entertainment may continue until approximately 4:00 am, resulting in considerable noise, especially for rooms overlooking Vernex Park and the lake.
The Royal Plaza also hosts daily entertainment and private events in its restaurants and bars, generally between 12:00 pm and 11:00 pm, which may also be audible from certain guest rooms.
Rooms facing the mountain side are generally less affected by festival activities; however, a completely quiet environment cannot be guaranteed during this period.

Access & Parking
Due to the high number of festival visitors, vehicle access to the hotel may be affected, particularly in the evenings.
As parking spaces are limited during this period, we strongly recommend reserving your parking space in advance. The parking fee is CHF 40 per night for hotel guests.
